Instant gratification, the “I want it now” attitude is much too common today. Kids will learn that anything worth having is worth working hard for. Self-restraint and discipline are learned traits for both children and adults.
With confidence comes enhanced self-esteem. We utilize a series of goals that boost self-esteem levels. This builds greater self-respect and self-esteem in our Martial Arts students. Our instructors turn most quiet, shy and doubtful beginners into strong outgoing leaders that become powerful practitioners.
Our students learn to show courtesy and respect to themselves and others. In this modern and fast paced world too often we see the lack of respect for others. We are proud of our Martial Arts students and the respect shown within the community. Through quality training our students display a high level of respect.
We have programs for kids who are 4 years old all the way to teenagers. (we even have programs for adults)
So to be honest – every age is appropriate.
No child is too young or too old. We have a class that fits just right.
We don’t teach kids how to kick and punch so they can go down the street and beat up the neighbor’s kid. Instead, we teach kids self-defense as a tool for personal growth and development. Kids learn to treat others as they want to be treated. They learn to respect everyone around them – from their parents to peers.
Often, kids who were violent before they joined our class changed, and became non-violent. So no, martial arts won’t make your child violent, in fact the opposite tends to be true.
Children have come into our program for years without ever obtaining a single injury. This is actually the case with most children.
Have children gotten injured in martial arts classes? Yes, some have. But in most cases the injuries were less severe than kids who play baseball and other sports.
From padded floors, to proper gear, to step-by- step instruction, we do everything in our power to insure your child’s safety.
We can’t guarantee your child won’t be injured – but we can tell you that almost no children receive injuries in our program. Simply put, we take your child’s safety very seriously.
Often children who don’t find success in team sports come to martial arts, and they love it!
That’s because with martial arts you go at your own pace. Team sports can actually harm the self-esteem of children who aren’t very athletic. When they don’t perform well, they might end up sitting on the bench. This can leave some serious scars on their self-esteem and it quickly leads them to just quit.
But with martial arts, everyone goes at their own pace. Everyone is greatly encouraged – regardless of his or her athletic level.
Regular attendance is the best way to improve over time. Our programs are set up for students to progress with as little as two classes per week.
We do also offer advanced programs and additional classes for those students who want to dedicate more time and effort to their progress.
