Back from Break

Back from Break

We all love breaks! The two weeks off between Christmas and New Year is a time for rejuvenation, spending time with family, and having fun. But once it’s over it’s time to get back on track. A new year meant a fresh start for everyone. It’s time to revitalize your energy for your Martial Arts practice!

We know that coming back from break can be challenging. It’s hard to not sit on the couch watching TV or playing video games all day! The best thing you can do for yourself is to get back into the dojang and focus on your goals for the year. Set clear intentions and a plan on how you want to get there!

Get back to class:

The first step to getting back on track is to come to class. It may be hard at first, but once you start showing up consistently again you will get back into the habit of things and it will be like you never took a break! Coming in at least two days a week will get your best results and make the transition even easier.

Have a goal:

What goals do you have this year for taekwondo? Is it to win a World Championship? Is it to earn your Black Belt? Is it to get in better shape? To learn how to defend yourself? Whatever it may be, set a clear goal and focus each of your days on it. Work towards that goal every single time you step onto the floor. Having a goal is having a reason to show up for yourself and if the goal is powerful enough, you won’t quit until you achieve it.

Discipline over motivation:

We all start the new year with big plans and goals. The reality is that many people lose motivation by February and give up. That’s where discipline comes in. You will not have motivation everyday but if you can have discipline you can achieve anything you set your mind to. The best part? We teach and work on discipline in taekwondo training so you don’t even have to feel like you are on your own. We are here to help you every step of the way.

Get excited:

I want to challenge you to get excited about Martial Arts again. Maybe it’s getting to see your friends you have made in classes. Maybe it’s challenging and pushing yourself to new levels. Maybe it’s the chance to become better every single day. Whatever the case may be, get excited about training because the possibilities are endless to what you can achieve if you put in the hard work and show up for yourself every day.
At Mueller’s Martial Arts, we are so excited to start 2024 with you! We are here to provide you support and training to help you achieve any goal you set in life. We can’t wait to see you back at the dojang! To learn more about our program, click here.
